Historical Note
John Goldyngton was one of seven men who worked on the Digswell Estate when John Perient of Brittany purchased it in 1414 and whom he chose to witness his deed of possession. The six others were William att Water, Walter Mees, William Brembelde, Nicholas Susshe, John Wodeward and John Pokelyngton.
